Today I was thinking about peoples names and how they relate to their personality. Sometime you meet someone new and they tell you their name and it just clicks. Duh that totally describes you. Which made me think; Do peoples names cause their characteristics and what causes someone's name to fit them perfectly?

I remember when I was a kid reading about an African Tribe who believed that what they named their children directly effected what kind of person they were going to be. For instance if in the book the father named his son something like brave leader. After much perseverance, the child grew up to lead his people away from being capture by slave traders.

IV

Raw fish. It has officially been 2 hours since consuming raw fish and my body seems to still functioning properly. It was actually very good. But even better then sushi is shochu. At first I was very skeptical of a cloudy white drink however when the taste erupted in my mouth it was fantastic. It had the best of both wine and beer. A very interesting combination. This prompted a discussion of the evolution of beer. It was theorized that ancient societies who didn't learn to brew beer and wine were more susceptible to spoiled water and thus were not naturally selected. Beer drinkers were victorious. whoo celebrate our heritage. Dogfish Head brewery certainly has. They recreated a 9,000 year old Chinese beer based on residues in pottery jars.

III

I have started listening to a R&B radio station every morning in the shower. During the short time that I'm listening they have a program called "booty call." The purpose of this is to see if one can call their significant other and set up quite literally a "booty call" by only using the word provided by the radio station. For instentce the first day I listened this girl called her boyfriend and asked him if he wanted "some shenanigans." The guys was clueless and ended up cussing. None the less it was very entertaining matched the music selection for the program.

Day II

Today I though I saw a short bus, but upon closer inspection I realized that it wasn't. It was a souped-up low-riding sports edition school bus. I think I'm going to call them "SB 5-series." It had sweet curves and a shiny yellow paint w/ black accents. I bet thing has air conditioning too. It was weaving in and out of traffic making stops picking up children on a 4 lane highway. To me that is craziness. New mission is to get a picture of one of these. This might be difficult w/ traffic...

First Day

The first days of work are always interesting. You hold your breath while you wait to see how high the pile paper work, company policies and thing to sign are; but in the end I'm always super excited that all that work brings me one step closer to actually doing something meaningful. Also, on the plus side my new address is now tattooed in my brain.

On a side note: Atlanta drivers are awesome. It's like everyone here is qualifying for Nascar. I don't need to go any further than the interstate to see completive people behind the wheel. Why didn't I get a bigger engine? I wanna win the race too..

Arrival Day

Today, I traveled the 460 miles to Atlanta. I made some observations along the way...

Ohio:
-Irish bartenders are awesome.

Kentucky:
-Lots of rain

Tennessee:
-Observed a local washing her car windows at a gas station...... It was puring rain.

Georgia:
-Got passed by a tire bouncing down the road at 70 mph. How does that happen?
-Saw a Georgia Tec. grad. multi finger pick his nose. One fingers just not enough anymore.
-Stumbled upon a pre-St. Patrick's day Party. GBD ATLANTA style.. wicked!!!
